I used to have a different life. Office-based.
Corporate. Targets. Deliverables. While I made a
good living, what I really wanted to do is to work
with people on a more personal level. I felt that
that part of my life was missing so I decided to
jump a million miles out of my comfort zone to try
and find it.
And I've never looked back.
As a young girl growing up in Edmonton, Canada, I used to sit in the public library for hours at a time poring over old issues of Life magazine, never skipping a page. I couldn't have predicted the effect looking at those photographs and reading about the photographers' lives would have had on me.
Today, photography is something I can't picture living without. But my real passion is people. I think I was just born nosy. The diversity in values, personalities and talents in this big old world never ceases to amaze me. In this job, I'm fortunate to be able to meet so many different people. No two days are ever the same. Long may it continue!
