Had a great, full-on weekend. Got an invite to an anniversary party for Izumi Records, held at The Spitz in London’s East End. They had some live bands on, one of which was The Late Greats, a band I shot a long time ago. They were excellent to see again and a seemingly nice bunch of lads. As usual I felt uber-untrendy amongst the uber-trendies but hey who cares – I was going for the tunes anyway. The next evening in contrast was spent at the lovely St Luke’s church, a Grade I listed Hawksmoor that’s now used by the London Symphony Orchestra. The conductor, the very talented Madeleine Lovell for whom I did promo shots, kindly invited me to the LSO St Luke’s debut of St George’s Chamber Orchestra.
