Melissa + Campbell | Wedding Photography at Lake Como and London

I feel incredibly fortunate to have photographed Melissa and Cam’s dual-centred celebrations in Italy and London, not only because of the spectacular location overlooking Lake Como but to witness the union of two very close families. A giant hug goes to everyone for inviting me into their world and for looking after me so well.

Here’s a brief glimpse of an amazing few days:

No barbeque is safe with three Kiwis nearby.

Melissa’s family has been coming here for years so it was the perfect place to bring her Italian, French and English relatives together.

I spent some time having a beer with Cam’s dad who has seen and done enough things in his life to write a book! The whole family has an unstoppable sense of adventure, so much so that this was the first time in 16 years they were reunited as a family. Lovely!

Happiness = a belly full of fantastic food + loads of sunshine + catching up with folks

The next day we headed back to London to prepare for Saturday’s big event. I took an early flight and got home without any hitches but it was touch and go for many of the guests, including Mel and Cam. They eventually rolled into London at 5.00 am Saturday. Whew!

Just a quick aside…

There are a whole bunch of jobs I’ve done that are still waiting to be blogged. Some time ago I took some promo pictures for newly formed band, PB Underground. Coincidentally I ran into a couple of the musicians on my flight to Milan who were heading there with Incognito to play at Lugano Jazz Festival in Switzerland.

Hey Julie – great work! Lots of the characters in Mel and Cam's wedding starred in our wedding in London nearly two years ago. Sadly we couldn't get over from San Francisco, but great to see Mel and Cam and everyone else in your gorgeous photos.
