FAQs

Questions?  See if they’re answered here, or get in touch if you’d like to know more.

How do we book?
A £300 retainer reserves the date.  I’ll also need a completed booking form.

We’ll need a few family pictures.  Do you do group shots?
Most definitely, and I try and make this as quick and painless as possible.  Before your wedding, I’ll go through how we do this.

What happens if you are ill or can’t make our wedding?
I belong to a network of some of the most talented photographers in the country, and we are all on each others’ back-up list.  While not guaranteed, I’ll do my utmost to find a suitable replacement for your wedding.

Do you work by yourself or with an assistant?
90% of the time I work on my own, but occasionally bring a non-shooting assistant to help me at weddings with involved logistics.  I can also have access to second photographers available at an additional cost.

We’d like just a couple hours of coverage, can you do this?
I often work at register offices such as Islington Town Hall, Mayfair Library and Chelsea Town Hall.  Contact me if you are having a midweek wedding and need only minimal coverage.

Do you travel or mainly work in London?
I travel all over the UK, Europe and further afield.  Modest travel costs may apply.

Can we meet?
Absolutely!  I’m a member of a private club in Soho and hold meetings there.  Please let me treat you to a drink after work!

Do we receive all the files?
Yes, you receive all the finished files on a USB drive.

What can we do with our pictures?
Most “normal” things, like making prints, sharing on social media and making your own photo books if you wish.

How long does it take until we see our pictures?
The full set is available within four weeks but I will drip feed you images as I go along!

I hate having my picture taken. How can you help me?
Most couples who book me loathe being in front of the camera. I take the same natural, low-key approach to photographing all parts of the day, and that includes a short portrait session.

I hate having my photograph taken. And unfortunately I don’t make a good subject, unlike my wonderful wife. Julie made me feel totally at ease and I actually quite enjoyed the experience. She has also made me look quite handsome in her photographs!
